AICE Media Film Opening - 'Doppelganger' - Music and Layout
A while ago I was browsing the internet in hopes of finding some sort of music to go with my film. I scoured various different genres of creepy and horror-esque music, but none quite felt fitting with the atmosphere that I had hoped for. Nonetheless, I continued to save noteworthy ones into what was essentially a 'maybe pile.' Still, despite the hindrance that my stubbornness may have been, it may just have been my saviour, as it was over the last weekend, a weekend that I thought I wouldn't be able to get much done, that I found the one.
My choice of music is 'Sociopath' by Lucas King. A dark piano melody that to my ears represents a fractured mental state. The name itself refers to a person stripped of one of the most defining parts of being human, our humanity. In a sense that is exactly what I want in my representation of my film opening's twist antagonist.
To introduce my film, I put together a very rough first draft (composed entirely of words - later to be replaced by clips) in order to combine the music with the introduction to my opening.
